Another hurricane related point for you to ponder....I rode in the Eastern NC MS150 ride on 9/11&12....They didn't have any shower trucks because FEMA had comandeered all of them to send down to Florida...Hopefully they'll be done using them by 10/2 though. It would be a pretty smelly, miserable ride without them.
Certainly hope they get the trucks back for CNC shower use. We live in Asheville and have just gotten power and water back after five days...No fun! Hope CNC will keep us posted on the shower situation.
I'm sure that something would be posted either now, or by next weekend, on the message board if the shower trucks aren't going to be provided. On the other hand, we did pay for the services when we signed to do the ride. If those services can't be provided then I would like to see and adjustment made in the cost of the ride.
I agree. If the shower trucks had been snagged, Mike and his crew would have posted something as soon as they knew. But hey, think RAGBRAI, car washes and the town fountain will work if there is nothing else. We are among friends.
You're right. I forgot that we will go by some very nice rivers and lakes that will be just fine to hop in and relax.......... no gaiters until we get closer to the coast , say Washington.
