I wanted to personally thank the CNC staff for the great support. This was my first year on the CNC ride and I had a great time. I know there is a lot that goes on "behind the scenes" to make the riders have a great ride. The rest stops, the towns overnight, shower trucks, facilities we camped, to little things like the "lost and found" are just a few of the support items that made this a great ride. Also, a big thank you to the sponsors that support this event. One other thing, each of the overnight towns were also very hospitable and were very nice hosts.
Please thank all those who made this such a great event and ride for me personally.
I hope you are recovering nicely. Please don't get mad if your significant other asks you a questions, even tho you were asked 200 a day during CNC...Calm down, you can rest now, and be satisfied.
Thanks to the REI guys for being there. I agree with Jim, the host towns and volunteers were special. My Dad enjoyed working rest stop #1, he said it got him outta his shell.
This was my 6th time, so I knew I could do it. However, I now have a greater appreciation for all the miles driven, all the phone calls, all the deatils one after another, the end of the ride food and drink, the shower trucks, all the route marking...and it goes on and on. For whatever you do, lining up sponsers, volunteers, and lall the stuff we just don't know about:
T H A N K S ! ! !
Ya'll are special, and I look forward to Morehead City and CNC 2005!
