Thank you. I will check this out. I have ridden the canal several times but it has always been during the summer month. I just don't want to get caught in a late spring snow fall. That happen to me once on the New River trail. it was cold the day before but that was OK. I was dress for the weather. The next morning when I woke up, it was real quite outside my tent. When I looked out, there were snow flakes as big as golf balls falling. My car was 27 miles away. Luckly for me it didn,t stick and I made it back to my vehicle OK. But that was the last time I camped there in early April.
