I had no trouble doing CNC on my own by end of first day a had a group of
5-10 people i was camping with for rest of the week ...
And being female the odds of finding a similiar situation are way in your favor.
This is a true story on my first week long trip this single female seemed to pick a spot near where I did every night. the first thing she did was put on a halter top then she "strugged" putting up her tent every night a number of men came over to help her set up.
Us men will never learn. it,s all because of that little piece of fruit in the Garden of Eden. Come on out. Before you know it 1200 strangers will be 1200 of your best friends. I have done this ride 6 times already and am looking forward to seeing friends that only meet on these rides. This year my son will be riding with me...Well he will be riding way, way ahead of me I'm sure.
Ditto from me. I have done six on my own. Remember what you are doing, according to most people who hear about this ride we are all crazy. So you are with 1200 people in the same mental state, you'll have ten new friends by the time you've put your tent up.
So let me get this straight, no matter how well I ride, no matter how matter how many times I've put up my tent all myself, the trick is to be sure to pack a halter top . . . . got it, thanks. ;)
isn't there a t shirt that says Just because i ride with you don't mean I'll sleep with you or is it Just because i sleep with you don't mean i'll bike with you ?
My first CNC experience I "slept" I mean camped with a group of 6-10 but only rode with 1 of that great group. And we were campers one of or stops was a 4 H camp with enuf indoor bunks for everyone even with an overnight low below freezing forecast we as a group chose to camp together.
I did say being female the odds of finding a similiar situation are way in your favor.
And since CNC allows 2 bags, packing a halter top as back up won't take much of your luggage allocation
i've done the ride alone twice. but, let me tell you, once you park your car, get out and start getting your things together, you are no longer alone. you are surrounded by friends you have yet to meet. like was posted above, you will be with 1200 like-minded people. all out for a challanging bike ride and a relaxing time. by the end of the trip, you will feel like part of a huge crazy family.
i highly recommend Bubba's Pampered Pedalers service. you will be well looked after and taken care of.
have fun! i'm still sidelined by a bike accident. wish i was joining the ride
