Thanks for posting the elevation charts. I'm curious about that drop on day one just before reaching Elkin. It looks like we are going from 1200 ft to -10, and then back up again to about 900-1000 feet. I didn't know we had any big holes in the western part of the state that reached that low. Perhaps i'm justing reading the chart wrong, but if not, is anyone familiar with this topographic feature?
I have been through that area a good bit and can not think of anything above ground that would be down to 10 ft above sea level. It has to be a mis-print.
