Hello there,

Myself and my brother are planning to drive down from Toronto, Canada. Can anyone fill us in on what the total cycling distance is from Asheville to Wilmington? We are also wondering about the terrain? Hilly?

Any information that you can provide would be great.

Hello Andrew,


Based on past years, the ride should be around 450 miles with the first 3 days being pretty hilly, the 4th day will be a transition from hilly to flat and the last 3 days will be in the flatlands.  The CNC fall ride is a great, well-run event and is a lot of fun regardless of your riding ability.  Usually, the 3rd day will also have a century option, increasing the distance to around 485 - 500 miles.  Meal plans are available.  I enjoy breakfast in the camp but usually go into town for my evening meals.  However, the Albemarle (I think) night and morning meals are furnished by a local church group and the meals have been excellent in the past.

Andrew,     If you wish, I can put you in contact with a few stepchildren of Team Pok-A-Dot that live in the Oakville area.  They have done CNC with us and can give you answers to about any question you may have.
