Question to the organizers: I was just on the MS 150 ride to Myrtle Beach this past weekend. The shower trucks had been co-opted by FEMA for the disaster recovery efforts. The showers at the Darlington Speedway were nice. All FOUR of them (for the campers)
This leads me to wonder; will there be any form of shower trucks on our wonderful trip this coming week... or are y'all working on "alternative forms of showering" as we speak?
I just returned from BRAT (Bicycle Ride Across TN) and we had a "baby Rubber Ducky" because FEMA had commendered all their larger trucks for New Orleans. (7 stalls for 270 people.) The "Ducky" driver indicated that the two trucks planned for CNC were also in New Orleans and the company wasn't sure it would get them back in time for CNC.
Your assurance from only 16 hours ago provides some reassurance. I figured our ride might be pretty spartan this year. (-:
We will have showers this year is this something new? Did we have them the last couple of years? Am I the only one that did not take a shower all week? Showers, what a great idea. I wonder which cities will have the free beer this year?
Hey If any one sees my 'power woman' sister edie yaktuis ( red hair ) she might be hanging around the porta showers let her know her sis is wishing her 'good ride'
