Can anyone tell me the spread on the departure times for getting started in the mornings?  I thought I read is somewhere a couple of months ago, but can't find it now,  Thanks.

I believe the camp packet says depart the campsite by 830 or no chocolate on your pillow.  We are supposed to be "home" by 5 pm.

And you can't depart until 7:30 or sunrise, says the same literature

Joanna,

Start after sunrise, much safer.

Be sure you know when the luggage truck pulls out of camp, miss that and you have a serious problem.

You will ride about 4 or 5 hours a day, plus stops and sightseeing. Best to be no later than dark (about 7:00 pm) to finish, catered dinner starts at 5:00 (don't be late), and it warms up after lunch most days, so I would not start after 10:00 or so unless I had a problem of some kind.

My 2 cents.

Jack

You're in for a real treat on this one. If you are an indoor camper, the zippers and bag rustlers start at about 4:00AM, "GOT TO GET THAT EARLY START!!"  If you are an outdoor camper, the tent zippers start about the same time and then the door slamming of the port-o-johns. Mind you they said ride time starts at 7:30. I'm not kidding on this one.

Some of us are close to the first rest stop by 7:30AM awaiting the rest stop crew to set things up so we can get a banana.

Early Riser
