There is no such thing as a cheap motel in Buncombe or Henderson county. However, there is a 'budget style' motel called "Sun Valley Motel" 828-684-6944 at the intersection of Airport Rd. & Hendersonville Rd. right near Christ School. I tried calling them for you, but no one answered the phone. That should tell you a lot.

Fortunately, there are no 'bad neighborhoods' anywhere near Christ School. If it were me, I'd just go directly to Christ School and park there. It'll be quiet and no one should bother you. There will probably be other people there doing the same thing.

If by chance you get tossed out of Christ School from some over-enthusiastic rent-a-cop, go south on Hendersonville Rd. from Airport/Sweeten Creek Rd. 2 miles to the Ingles 24 hr. grocery store. No one will notice an extra car parked on the far side of the lot.

Thanks Bentaero for the post I was planning on camping at Christ School Friday night.  I will heel more comfortable in doing so now after having read your Post.
