I'm awfully proud of myself. I've kept up my commuting by bike to work in the cold, so hopefully it won't be such a shock to start really riding in the spring again.
More importantly though, I used the holidays to further build my alcohol tolerance so that I may fulfill my life-long dream of hanging with the DOTS. I need to develop my drinking regimen to make sure I'm ready by September 30.
Boozer would say start the day this way, 2 Bloody Marys before breakfast, Vitamin C, then a cup of warm coffee liqueur with breakfast. For breakfast have 4 beer batter pancakes covered with Grand Marnier Orange Liqueur (thicken with a little condensed sweeten evaporated milk) and topped with apples slices soaked in Vodka for 2 days. After breakfast have your favorite coffee liqueur with cream (Heavy Whipping Cream works best) to mellow you out. Now you are ready to face the day ahead and go to work or take a nap which ever feel best at that moment.
If you want to hang with the Dots sooner, there is space on the trailer for you on RAGBRAI in July if you are interested.
Remember though, anyone that drinks too much and is hung over the next day, gets strapped to the top of the trailer with the chairs, to be laughed at by ALL. A DOT is expected to ride the next day with no complaints about said head. So, youg one, continue your training and maybe someday, you to, will experience the power of the DOT FORCE
