many of you will remember gene multsby, who has been riding cnc for many years now.  he was 79 on last years ride.  gene died last week in a boating accident and will be missed by so many.  those eyes, that laughed without a sound, that smile that never left his face, his joy for each moment of life.  it was such an honor for me to meet him a couple years ago.  he was at the spring retreat in edenton this year also, and had such a wonderful time there.  i can't imagine the october ride without him this year.  he will be missed, but he lives on through all of of us who he touched...thanks gene for doing it right, for living like most only dream of.....   love you...eileen from jacksonville, nc

Was Gene the one from Chapel Hill and wore those big goofie looking sun glasses on the CNC rides and was also in the CNC video?

no bill, gene was from jacksonville, nc and then last year moved to the wilmington/leland, nc area. there are 2 good pictures of him if you go to the photo gallery on the website, he is in the last two pictures on page one from the spring retreat.
