If you are flying to Raleigh (RDU), North Carolina and would like to ship your bike to the REI in Cary we would be glad to help you.

If you wish to ship your bike please contact Curtis Dobbins before you send it out so that we will know to expect it.

email: cdobbin@rei.com or call 919-806-3442

Ship your bicycle by UPS, FedEx or DHL from your local bike shop or packaging store.

to:  REI  255 Crossroads Blvd.  Cary, NC 27511

REI will receive your bike, reassemble it and have it ready to load on the truck to Sparta Oct. 2.

We will store your bike case or shipping box at the Cary store during the ride.

When you ship your bike please be certain to include your name,  phone number and "For Cycle North Carolina" on the outside of the box so that we can call you when it arrives.

Please ship your bike so that arrives in our shop by Friday the 24th of September.  This allows plenty of time for us to track your shipment if for any reason your bike is not here the week before the ride. Be certain that you insure your bike for an appropriate value when it is shipped to us.

Our rates for receiving, assembling, disassembling, repackaging and shipping a standard frame bicycle are $80.00 for REI members and $100 for non-members.  If you need to ship a tandem or alternative frame style bicycle (recumbent/trike), your rate will be $80/$100 plus any oversize freight costs that are incurred.

REI will provide mechanical support on the ride again this year to help you with roadside repairs.

If you wish to have your bike tuned up after CNC so that it is ready for your next ride we can make your reservation for shop service at the time you arrange to have your bike received.

If you have any questions or concerns please call Curt.

Have a great ride!

Curtis,

Once again, REI is there for us.

Good news to hear that REI will provide mechanical support along the ride. You know, I never intend to use you guys, but something just seems to happen. Nice to know REI is there.

We owe you and your folks some adult beverages as a token of our appreciation.

Jack
