Ciao cyclists!


This is Susan from Raffaldini Vineyards. We'lll be pouring our Italian wines for you at a wine tasting at the Wilkesboro campsite from 7-9 Sunday night and hosting your first rest stop Monday morning at our vineyard and tasting room. We can ship your wine purchases to you, at a discounted shipping rate.


Sunday night, the wine tasting is on us and you can also purchase a wine by the glass and bottle and get an idea of what you will experience on Monday.


At the tasting room we pour 8 Italian wines. Our white wines: the well-known Pinot Grigio (the new Gucci of grapes in popularity), Fiori (floral white blend) and Vermentino, a dry white seafood wine, native to Sardinia. We just took a Gold Medal at the San Diego International for this one!


We also have Sangiovese (think Chianti) and other red blends, plus two Roses - dry and  semi-sweet.


Our prices are affordable: $10-14.

Wonderful.   We love vino.


I will make sure I wear my Italian jersey on Monday's ride.


1) Would it be possible to order wine Monday and have it delivered to Elk Banner for pick up when we return on the buses on Sunday Oct 8?


 


2) Would it be possible to purchase wine and have it delivered to the Monday evening campground?
