I expect we can probably work something out. I'm arranging for my daughter and a friend of hers to pick me up at Emerald Isle at the end of the ride. I'm planning to get a hotel room for Sat night and drive back to Durham on Sunday. With the price of gas these days, it would be nice to split the cost...

The timing you suggest would be fine with us. And I've made a reservation at a hotel on the mainland, just across from Emerald Isle. Would you be interested in joining us there for Sat night? We'll be spending most of our time at the beach but want to have comfy beds in which to sleep. Anyway, I'll call you on your cell phone sometime soon to discuss the possibilities.

That might not be a bad idea! I'm looking into camping at the park where we finish but maybe for the last night it would be nice to sleep in a bed that's warm and dry. I'll let you know soon... I'm also interested in visiting the seafood festival that is mentioned. Are you familiar with it?

Looks like I need to answer your last two posts.

Yes, I've been to the Seafood Festival before, and we might want to check it out on Sat evening. I would be open to that idea, anyway.

It will be fine for you to stay with us in the hotel room on Sat night. I expect that the comforts of a hotel will feel good at that point...

By the way, I will be joining the ride on Weds morning at Burlington. So you won't be able to find me during the first few days of the ride.

I'll try to call your cell phone and touch base sometime during the next couple of days.
