I left the ride as planned on Thursday, I got home and heard about a big chem fire in Apex and lots of rain. Did I miss something? (As I ask with a SEG on my face)

It only rained on the route for folks that dawdled on Friday. It rained a little in camp in Banner Elk, Kinston, and Emerald Isle.

It was a great week.

Agreed...

A three tandem team I was in and we averated 22mph on Friday... That was enough time for me to set up my tent, shower, and grab some chilli dogs and a pepsi and sit in my tent and watch the stragglers come in and setup tents in the rain..

And actually there was only a short hard downpour Friday for about and hour then after that the rain was pretty light and eventually tappered off in time for dinner.

All in all the weather couldn't been better...
