I was wondering if anyone out there from flat land country has a recumbent ever ridden this ride and how does one train for this on a recumbent??????? I did Bike Florida this year and did fine on the major hill parts, but not sure about mountains....any suggestions or info would be appreciated...

I live in Western NC so I know we are going to get some rain during the week. From riders of the past few years, how much rain did you have to endure? Any tips other than putting newspapers in your shoes over night so it dries them out? I'm thinking of using my BoB drysack to carry my things in.
