I counted 780 as of today (9/9/04). I think it's normal that a lot of folks will get on board at the last minute.

CNC 1999 had about 600 riders....that was IDEAL....the ride was two weeks and for me by far the most "memorable" of the four CNC's that I have done.....In my opinion "more" is not better....just an individual preference however....

Registration is beginning to pick up. We are ahead of every previous year, except last year, which was a record for us. We may not end up with more than last year, but we should have more than 1,000. I think all of the bad weather is convincing people to hold on to their regstration until the last minute.

I for one one, would love to ride, especially b/c I missed last year due to my wedding, but I have to miss this year too, due to two weddings, one at the start and one at the end of the trip-- and both in New York! Definitely next year!! Have fun out there (and stay warm!)

You need to get your priorities right. You mean you're gonna miss a swell bike ride to go to TWO weddings? Must the the influence of your new wife...Not her families by chance, are they?
