I guess it has happened....but i truely just am not a solo tenter kinda girl and was hoping some feedback, not just this kind :)

Ha, just kidding. Most folks tend to carry pretty small tents due to the weight restrictions (and smaller tents help trap body heat better for those cold nights) Good luck finding a roomie!

Susie; I think in the mob atmosphere of a group ride, most folks would like the privacy of their own tent. No problem, pack your tent and you are welcome to tent next to me.

The fabric walls of a tent provide little privacy anyway.

I'm meeting the bus in Oriental on Saturday. I think the plans are to be in Sparta at 3.

Seriously, with tents usually placed no more than a couple feet apart, you are VERY unlikely to feel alone. You will certainly be able to find compatable people to camp with so you can have plenty of new friends close by. Of course, the other option is to join the 200 to 300 others who will be sharing the floor together during the indoor camping. After all, CNC is one of the few places where an individual can sleep with a couple hundred members of the opposite sex all in one night--and not be considered promiscuous. (-:

Susie - just bring a matress (or pad), sleeping bag & jammies - then set up in the gym for indoor camping. Ain't no way you'll be alone with 100 sleeping souls almost within arm's reach. Oh, yeah, bring ear plugs, too - lots of those souls snore pretty good!
