It is mentioned that there is "shuttle service" to the lighthouse camping for Saturday night the 6th at the end of the ride.  This emplies a somewhat isolated location which is great for ambience but does it mean those who stay over will need to be sure they cover their breakfast needs in what they take with them.  In short, are there any restaurants within walking, or biking, distance of the camping area, that are likely to be open on Sunday morning?

Anyone from the Currituck area, or CNC staff, that can speak to this?

We visited the lighthouse two years ago on a bike tour of the outer banks and I don't remember any stores or restaurants in the vicinity. Does anyone know if NCAS has plans for breakfast on Sunday morning Oct the 7th for the lighthouse campers?

I remember staying in Corolla for a week in the summer of '06.  There were grocery stores and shops up and down NC 12.  I found a coffee shop with bagels, pastries, and donuts and such not far from the light house.  There was a skateboard park in the same center (ocean side of NC 12).

There are three stores in Corolla listed on this page.  The Northern Lights Bakery looks like the one i stopped at.

Thanks for the responses regarding the couple stores and pasty shop.

I'm almost certain that CNC will have nothing to do with breakfast on Sunday--except possibly the provision of left over bananas and apples if there are any. (-:

It sounds like there might be some possibility of finding something open but that the safest bet would be to collect some breakfast bars or some other ready substitute just in case.
