To those loyal java junkies and lovers of Mad Cow Monday, IÕm sorry to say IÕll miss this yearÕs Cycle North Carolina. IÕm currently in Colorado helping my sister and her family recover from a bicycle verses car accident that took the life of their 10 year-old daughter and left my sister in a neck halo (fractured C2) and ankle cast, among other injuries which have healed along nicely in the five weeks since the accident.

Not that I was returning to the Coffee Detail (I was not hired back this year by Harold) but was going to attend with my new company, CDP Digital Download (there is a website, http://www.cdpdigitaldownload.com ) and was planning on the usual fun, only with better daytime hours, ha-ha.

IÕll miss seeing all my CNC friends itÕs been a pleasure to see every year since 2001, including the REI gang, CNC staff and those who have dared to talk to me before 5:30am. Hope everyone enjoys the tour and that the weather is GREAT!

     so sorry to hear about your sister.  loss of a child is something difficult to imagine.  hope your sister and her family are doing better. 


     we will miss you.  the crazy costumes, candy bars , etc. we will miss, especially at 5:30 in the morning.  take care, and hope all goes well.  hope to see you next year.

So sorry to hear of your family's loss. Having lost my mother in law and my younger brother this last eight months I can somewhat relate, but can not imagine losing A child. Though there's not much we can do to help with your pain, please know our prayers are with you and your family. I know everyone will miss your smile and your humor especlly at 5:30m. I'll have to ask Harold about the whisdom behind his decision. You were one of the nice things we grew to look forward to in the mornings, along with A Good cup of coffee at A reasonable price.
