For all you folks that couldn't come this year...You missed out on a great ride. There was no tent to take down every morning, If you needed your vichical it was near by. You could do as many or as few miles as you want for any given day. It was warm, no frost anywhere , The town of Edenton was beautiful. The sunsets over the Sound were unforgetable. The restaurants were great. I really enjoyed my sea food plater. The catered meal plan was very good. These ladies preparing our meals were fantastic. They would even come to the table and refill your drink and take your empty plate away.

For those of you that don't care much for hills.....this area was flat. The biggest hill was a bridge over the Albemarle Sound. At the peak is was probly around 65 feet high. Great place for pictures.

It was a nice relaxing weekend bike ride. In fact this was my first long ride for the year. I only did 105 miles for all three days. Could have done more, some people did, others did less.

It was a great ride.....Even without my train whistle.

Hope to see you all in Oct for CNC 2004.

I only need my whistle fix on the really big and long hills. The bigest hill in eastern North Carolina was the bridge over the sound.

I am surprised that this post is still up. (April 2004)

The spring ride out of Washington, NC (2005) was a great ride also. You are right there were no long bridges only a ferry ride.
