Just in case there was some late viewers that didn't see the journals

for the CNC 2005 ride.

It was a great ride. This was my first.

My journals and some pictures are on my website.

To access; www.deweyfox.com/cnc2005.htm

Let me know what you think. This was my take on the CNC 2005.

Thanks,

Fox

I enjoyed reading the journal. It's nice to find out that there are people who will be going my speed. I was getting nervous reading journals by people who average 23 mph.

I noticed several bicyclist starting out early; at daybreak. I was figuring on leaving around 8:00 or 8:30 A.M. We were all to be on the road by 8:30 A.M. Wanted enough day light to see and for other traffic to see me. Well I had my banana and apple and started our around 8:10 A.M. It was foggy even at my starting time.

Maybe

I noticed several bicyclist starting out on the ride early in the dark and fog, as for me I wanted enough light to see and be seen. After eating a banana and apple I started the first day bicycle ride at 8:10AM, even then in the fog.

Get a proof reader.

Thank you Teach for showing what a jerk you are. I don't think that's the kind of feedback Fox was looking for. Get a life.

I once saw this on a web site and I think it was written specifically for people like Teach:

Contacting Us

  1. I found a few grammatical and/or spelling errors. How do I report them?
We do not have time to edit content, or spelling for that matter. If you are one of those annoying persons that just cannot control yourself when you see a misspelled word or improper grammar, please leave the site. We do not want emails that say a word was misspelled in paragraph 6 of such and such column. We are not going to fix it. If you are so compulsive that you cannot keep these findings to yourself, please leave. Do not try to impress us with your knowledge of obscure rules of grammar. Not only are we not impressed, but we weep for your lack of a life.

I’m not defending Teach, but please note that Mr. Fox had sponsors, bike nashbar and Performance Bike.  This is the second time this post has been listed.  There is a very good chance each time you go to his website then Mr. Fox get paid a small fee from the sponsors.  I know other people who do this in other forums.  If this is the case then he is writing professionally and should pay more attention to sentience structure and sequencing.

Once again, the Teach (whose sentience in his post could use a little work its self) was out of line with his comments.  However, I don’t feel much pain for Mr. Fox if the is trying to con people in going to his website for personal gains.

Did you, aka "The Master", mean sentence. If not how does it make sense to use the word sentience here, since the meaning is as follows:

sen·tience   Audio pronunciation of "sentience" ( P )  Pronunciation Key  (snshns, -sh-ns)
n.

  1. The quality or state of being sentient; consciousness.
  2. Feeling as distinguished from perception or thought.

You know, stuff like this may never end. I'm sure someone will find errors in my post also. But who really cares. It's just an internet message board anyway!

Folks,

Don't go off the deep end here, friends...Fox has some pics and a story to tell, well, OK, that's kewl, thanks for sharing...we all benefit.

Those of you obsessing with spelling and English usage and the like, woah! I worry about you guys...We are bicyclists, OK? Even in the winter. All other stuff is secondary to our chat board. If you wish to talk administrivia and details and minuatae, please talk bike parts and stuff like proper cyclists should, or our readers are gonna get the wrong impression about us, OK? We are not grammar geeks, we are cycling pals, JMHO...

Thank you, I feel better already, and no intent to offer our grammar geeks,

Jack

Teach,

Thanks for your comments. I will take them into consideration and try to

do better in the future.

I'll have to admit that I have a lot of short comings in my writings,

but I enjoy telling a story as best as I can.

Of course, some of my writings take into account my personality.

And as you can tell my poorest subject in school was ENGLISH!

Would you be available for proof reading my articles in the future?

Or is there any hope for me?

Bless,

Fox

P.S. Oh yes, I forget to tell you I have the same problem with my wife.

She doesn't think I should ever spell a word wrong.

The Master,

Thanks for your comments.

I do have a personal website that entails many areas

of my life including cycling.

In adding the bike nashbar and performance bike, it was a second thought.

The ads were put where they would not be invasive (did I spell it correctly)

to the reader. Similiar to the ads on this web. They are there but you

don't have to click on them to get to the meat. It's your opinion.

I'm not trying to con anyone. I think people are to smart now-a-days for that.

Maybe see on the road sometimes.

Keep it between the ditches.

Bless,

Fox
