This will be my first CNC ride and I'm really excited about it.
This may sound a little crazy , but when we get closer to my area (the Triangle), I've thought about having my wife bring one or both of our little kids out to meet us, and bring along the Burley trailer so that I can pull them for a while and they can participate, too. How would this square with registration, etc? Has anyone else done this, or anything comparable?
The second thing is my daily concern: getting a good cup of Joe in the morning. I assume that the coffee served at the meal plan breakfasts is not going to be anything to write home about, and that we're not going to be camped near coffee shops. To remedy that, and for the good of my nervous system, I'm thinking about packing some ground coffee and a little french press pot. Then all I need's some hot water--no cooking required.
Does anyone have an opinion/suggestion about coffee on the ride? Or, am I the only one of the hundreds riding who's kinda picky about my coffee?
From the main page of CNC first click "Links" the select the web page under "The Bike Detail". They have a whole range of services which appear to make the week more enjoyable. I've never used them, but hey this is a vacation and the less I do, the better I feel....as long as the coffee is good!
